 Prolab's Amino 2000

Amino 2000 delivers high quality protein and positive nitrogen balance to promote strength, muscle mass and performance. This elite, high potency formula contains 2000 mg per tablet of pure, naturally occurring L-form amino acids. Furthermore, Prolab has enhanced the formula with the highest quality whey protein. Amino 2000 promotes a positive nitrogen balance - this means that high levels of protein are maintained in the muscle, creating an optimal environment for muscle growth. In fact, Amino 2000 has a protein efficiency ratio and bioavailability (how well your body uses protein) equal to egg protein.

Amino acids are the building blocks of protein. Twenty amino acids are needed to build the proteins used in the growth, repair, and maintenance of body tissues, such as muscle. L-form amino acids are the most compatible with the human body.

One Tablet of Amino 2000 Contains The Following L-Form Amino Acids:

  • 620 mg of L-Alanine
  • 285 mg of L-Arginine
  • 1200 mg of L-Aspartic Acid
  • 380 mg of L-Cystine
  • 1990 mg of L-Glutamic Acid
  • 225 mg of Glycine
  • 180 mg of L-Histidine
  • 815 mg L-Isoleucine [Branch Chain Amino Acid]
  • 1220 mg of L-Leucine [Branch Chain Amino Acid]
  • 1040 mg of L-Lysine
  • 240 mg of L-Methionine
  • 360 mg of L-Phenylalanine
  • 790 mg of L-Proline
  • 575 mg of L-Serine
  • 850 mg of L-Threonine
  • 165 mg Naturally Occuring L-Tryptophan
  • 345 mg of L-Tyrosine
  • 720 mg of L-Valine [Branch Chain Amino Acid

In addition to promoting muscle growth, strength and performance, one of Amino 2000's biggest advantages is convenience. In order to promote muscle growth (positive nitrogen balance), you must consume a complete protein every three hours. It's much easier to take an Amino 2000 tablet than to prepare and cook whole food protein such as poultry, fish or egg whites. Furthermore, Amino 2000 provides a way to get high quality protein without the fat, which is important when dieting. Supplementation with Amino 2000 can also be an important addition to the vegetarian diet, which lacks animal food protein.

Amino Acid supplements (including Prolab) can be fairly expensive. However, the convenience and results are well worth the price, delivering a high quality protein and positive nitrogen balance to promote strength, muscle mass and performance.

Is it for you?

Since athletes and bodybuilders require greater protein intake than sedentary people, they can build muscle and enhance their physical performance by supplementing with Amino 2000. If you're looking to lose weight, Amino 2000 can provide fat-free, high quality protein, making it an important component of a weight management program. Vegetarians would also benefit from Amino 2000 supplementation.

Dosage and Directions

Take 6 tablets three times daily between meals and after intense training. Amino acids should be taken on an empty stomach so that they won't compete for assimilation with amino acids present in the food you are eating. Take amino acids 45 minutes before a meal and immediately following a workout. You may take it with diluted fruit juice or other carbohydrate liquid. For best results, combine Amino 2000 with a nutritiously complete diet and an intense training program.

I was taking this supplement when I was 35 weeks in my pregnancy. I have a condition called Hashimoto's Disease which affects my thyroid gland and when I was pregnant and they found out that my baby has low weight and could give birth anytime, my OB prescribed this supplement to at least help my baby gain in weight before I give birth. I was taking this three times a day to provide the additonal protein my body needed.
