Muscle Milk

CytoSport's Muscle Milk Chocolate duplicates muscle growth factors, lean-promoting lipids (fats) and beneficial proteins found in human mother's milk. This advanced protein shake powder contains EvoPro custom protein, peptide and amino acid matrix, Leanlipids trans fat free lipid complex (MCTs and L-carnitine), creatine precursors and essential vitamins and minerals. Specially formulated for athletes and bodybuilders, Muscle Milk Chocolate boosts muscle growth, energy, leanness, recovery and performance.

Muscle Milk's Evo-Pro matrix contains a complex ratio of whey, micellar caseins, lactoalbumins, and conditionally essential amino acid glutamine for muscle growth and repair. Whey is a major protein found in milk and contains an optimal concentration of amino acids. Micellar casein is the natural form of undenatured casein protein found in milk. Whey and micellar casein synergistically promote positive nitrogen retention (stored muscle protein). The addition of bovine colostrum (a protein found in mother's milk), rich in immune factors secretory IgA and IGF-1, boosts immunity and wellness.

L-carnitine, taurine, creatine precursors and MCTs synergistically support muscle energy, strength and performance. L-carnitine is a natural compound that enhances cellular energy production by using fat as energy. L-carnitine helps preserve muscle glycogen (stored energy) and decrease muscle fatigue. The amino acid taurine helps maintain blood sugar levels via its effects on insulin, to optimize energy. Creatine precursors help the body produce more creatine on its own. Creatine is used in muscle tissue for the production of ATP (adenosine triphospate), the source of energy the body runs on. MCTs (medium-chain triglycerides) promote fat burning (lipogenesis) and calorie burning (thermogenesis) and are used for muscle energy.

CytoSport states that Muscle Milk Chocolate is nature's ultimate lean muscle formula, patterned after human mother's milk. This unique formulation contains no trans fatty acids, zero lactose and 32 grams of protein. Specially designed for high intensity athletes, Muscle Milk Chocolate can be enjoyed as a snack pre and post workouts and prior to bedtime.

Muscle Milk Chocolate has the following benefits:

  • Evo-Pro whey, micellar casein proteins and glutamine enhance muscle growth and repair
  • Colostrum secretory IgA and IGF-1 boost immunity and wellness
  • L-carnitine, taurine and creatine precursors promote muscle energy, strength and performance
  • MCTs promote fat burning and muscle energy

Individuals who are allergic to dairy products should avoid taking whey protein.

Ingesting MCTs on an empty stomach can cause GI (gastrointestinal) upset.

Taking L-carnitine has been shown to be safe. Although side effects are uncommon, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, body odor and stomach upset have been reported.

People with pre-existing medical conditions or taking medication should not supplement with Muscle Milk Chocolate without consulting a physician.

This product has a very awful taste to it. I was enticed by all of the vitamins and I research everything on this product. It is VERY healthy for you if you can get past the taste.
