DescriptionVitamin Shoppe's Thyroid Complex is formulated to recharge the thyroid. It contains iodine, tyrosine, zinc, copper, manganese, selenium, vitamin B12, vitamin B6 and multi gland complex. Thyroid Complex provides complete nutritional support for healthy thyroid function and metabolism. Thyroid hormones are critical for processes relating to growth and development, as well as metabolic functions such as heartbeat and the burning of calories. Iodine is an essential part of the thyroid hormones thyroxine and triiodothyrine. The amino acid tyrosine is required for the production of thyroid hormones and is an important precursor for neurotransmitters that affect the nervous system, mental and physical performance and hormone production. Proper thyroid function requires adequate amounts of essential vitamins and minerals. Vitamin B12, vitamin B6, selenium, manganese, and zinc are necessary for the production and conversion of thyroid hormones. Since zinc supplementation can result in a copper deficiency, copper is also included. Multi gland complex is a glandular formulation that can support thyroid health and function. I have had troubles with my thyroid for a long time. I have also used many thyroid medications from the doctor's office. However, this supplement has helped me the most to keep up my energy and not feel so cold anymore. yes there are side effects of diarrhea, but the benefits outweigh the risks.
