Nature’s Herbs Chickweed Formula - Product Review
|
DescriptionAlthough chickweed (Stellaria media) is often enjoyed as a salad green, it’s also been used in folk medicine for centuries. The chickweed plant originated in Europe, but now grows in the United States. The leaves, stems and flowers have traditionally been used to treat various health conditions ranging from cough and indigestion to skin diseases and itching. Folk medicine suggests that chickweed may help rheumatic conditions, but clinical trials haven’t proven this.
Pros
Containing 1 mg of chickweed per serving, Nature’s Herbs Chickweed formula provides an easy and convenient way to enjoy the benefits of chickweed. Grown wild in the fertile valleys of Europe, Nature’s Herbs Chickweed formula guarantees maximum plant potency and freshness, with active antioxidant ingredients. Nature’s Herbs “freshcare” processing system prevents plant oxidation and provides uncompromised quality. Cons
Some of the active constituents in chickweed remain unknown. More studies are needed to thoroughly analyze chickweed and support chickweed’s health benefits. Is It For You?If you suffer from the conditions noted above including itching from skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, insect stings and bites or poison ivy and poison oak dermatitis, then Nature’s Herbs Chickweed formula may be worth considering. Dosage and DirectionsAs a dietary supplement, take 3 capsules 3 times daily. Do not use if either seal is missing or broken.

I'm using chickweed to treat skin inflammations and an itchy, flaky scalp. I started using it on my patches of eczema and then tried it on the scalp psoriasis and found that it works when you make a little paste out of it and let it sit on the dry patches for about an hour before washing out. |
