Nature's Best Isopure - Product Review  Hot

Isopure

Description

There’s protein powders, and then there’s Isopure protein from Nature’s Best. This "elite protein elixir" is guaranteed to provide you with protein of uncompromised quality. Most protein supplements on the market today consist of a blend. Companies often mix protein concentrate with protein isolate, as well as a host of other proteins, and omit important details such as the amount and quality of their included proteins. Nature’s Best hides nothing – it doesn’t have to.

Isopure is identified as 50 grams of 100% Pure Ion Exchange Whey Protein Isolate. You can rest assured knowing that you’ve purchased the best protein available to date. What’s more, there’s no sugars, lactose, carbohydrates, or other impurities typically found in protein supplements. In fact, its so pure, it dissolves clear. In the world of protein powders, Isopure is definitely all “killer” and no “filler!”

Pros

The biggest benefit of supplementing with whey protein isolate is its high quality and bioavailability, or how well your body uses it. However, Nature’s Best has taken whey protein isolate production one step further. They’ve enriched Isopure with 4.6 grams of the essential amino acid Glutamine, stripped the protein of nearly all impurities, and unlike other proteins, exclude sugar as one of its primary ingredients.

Additionally, Isopure is rich in vitamins and minerals and helps you achieve your daily intake of these vital compounds. Isopure has also been instantized. This means it’s easy to mix; so easy, in fact, a spoon is all you need. Here’s the brief breakdown of what’s inside:

Isopure's Major Proteins Include:

  • Beta-Lactoglobulin (55-62%)
  • Alpha-Lactalbumin (19-22%)
  • Immunoglobulin (9-10%)
  • Bovine Serum Albumin (6-8%)
  • Lactoferrin (.5-1%)
  • In addition, Isopure is rich in Branched Chain Amino Acids and Glutamine.

Each Servings of Isopure Also Contains:
  • 3465mg of Isoleucine
  • 7865mg of Leucine
  • 3080mg of Valine

Another great component to the Isopure line are its awesome flavors. Everyone is sure to find a taste that compliments their unique palate. We’ve tried them all and they are equally delicious. Here’s the “scoop” on what Nature’s Best offers for your taste buds;
  • Strawberries & Cream
  • Dutch Chocolate (low carb)
  • Creamy Vanilla
  • Pineapple Orange
  • Banana
  • Mango Peach
  • Cookies 'N Crème
  • Alpine Punch
  • Apple Melon

Cons

Its hard to think that such an amazing and pure product would have any downfalls. And, admittedly, I’m hesitant to tell you what we think are its “cons!” However, our job is to be unbiased, so with all due respect to Isopure, here we go…

Whey protein isolates (including Isopure) are fairly expensive. Most consumers either don’t know or care about:
1. Protein bioavailability,
2. What the primary differences in protein are, or
3. When to take (time of the day in accordance with activity) the various forms.
Most gym-goers and low carb dieters just know that protein is good to take. So with this in mind, if you choose an isolate like Isopure, be ready to shell out some dough.

Second, the servings per container are minimal (22). This means that if you took the recommended serving size (2 scoops) twice per day, you would have to buy a container every 11 days. Our suggestion is to maximize the serving size by using one scoop (25 grams of protein) and opting for a secondary protein source, especially if you’re planning on consuming more than this amount (25 grams of protein) in one sitting.

Finally, don’t expect to get full if you take Isopure by itself. With only 1 gram of fat and no sugar, you’re sure to crave something else to eat or snack on. Be wary of taking Isopure and eating other foods. Just because it’s sugar-free, doesn’t mean that you can take as much as you want. With approximately 210 calories per serving, it is definitely not intended for weight reduction.

Is it for you?

If you engage in frequent physical activity, Isopure makes the perfect post-workout drink! Also, anyone concerned with their protein intake can use Isopure to bridge the gap between a potential deficiency and a positive nitrogen balance (i.e. adequate protein intake). Isopure is equally beneficial for low-carb dieters, those in demanding/physical professions, and athletes - including weight lifters and endurance athletes.

Of Note: With the exception of zero or extremely low-carb diets, Isopure is not intended to be used for weight loss.
