MRM's BCAA + G - Product Review  Hot

Description

MRM’s BCAA+G delivers high quality branched chain amino acids, glutamine and nitrogen retention to promote strength, muscle mass and performance. This elite, high potency formula contains pure, naturally occurring branched chain amino acids (BCAAs) leucine, valine and isoleucine, as well as conditionally essential amino acid glutamine. Furthermore, MRM has enhanced the formula with vitamin B6, to promote amino acid activity in muscle tissue.

Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins. Amino acids are needed to build the proteins used in the growth, repair, and maintenance of body tissues, such as muscle. Branched chain amino acids such as leucine, valine and isoleucine are essential amino acids that can’t be made by the body. BCAA’s can only be obtained from protein foods such as red meat and dairy products or BCAA supplementation. Although glutamine is an amino acid that can be made by the body, it is considered a conditionally essential amino acid if demand for glutamine exceeds the body’s ability to produce it. Certain conditions, such as physical stress, prolonged exercise, surgery or infections can deplete glutamine levels, making supplementation necessary.

BCAA’s and glutamine supplementation can be especially important for athletes and exercise enthusiasts. Taking MRM’s BCAA+G supplies the necessary nutrients to promote nitrogen retention. This means that high levels of protein are maintained in the muscle, creating an optimal environment for muscle growth. Taking BCAA+G helps build strength, improve endurance and recovery and enhance energy.

Pros

In addition to promoting muscle growth, strength and performance, one of MRM BCAA + G’s biggest advantages is convenience. In order to promote muscle growth (nitrogen retention), you must consume a complete protein every three hours. It’s much easier to supplement with BCAA + G than to prepare and cook whole food protein such as poultry, fish or egg whites. Furthermore, BCAA + G provides a way to get high quality protein without the fat, which is important when dieting. Supplementation with BCAA + G can also be an important addition to the vegetarian diet, which lacks animal food protein.

Studies have found that BCAAs and Glutamine have numerous benefits including:

  • Increases lean muscle mass and strength
  • Maximizes recovery following intense training
  • Improves performance under extreme conditions (such as high altitude or heat)
  • Enhances energy levels
  • Reduces body fat
  • Promotes immunity

Cons

Amino Acid supplements (including MRM’s BCAA+G) can be fairly expensive. However, the convenience and results are well worth the price, delivering high quality amino acids and nitrogen retention to promote strength, muscle mass and performance.

No side effects have been reported with the use of BCAAs and glutamine. However, people with ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), depression, Reye’s Syndrome, kidney or liver disease should not supplement with amino acids without consulting a physician.

Be aware that some drugs may interact with glutamine including:

  • Chemotherapy
  • Cisplatin
  • Cyclophospamide
  • Docetaxel
  • Fluorouracil
  • Methotrexate
  • Paclitaxel

Is it for you?

Since athletes, bodybuilders and avid gym-goers require greater protein intake than sedentary people, they can build muscle and enhance their physical performance by supplementing with BCAA+G. If you’re looking to lose weight, BCAA+G can provide fat-free, high quality protein, making it an important component of a weight management program. Vegetarians and the elderly would also benefit from BCAA+G supplementation.

However, people with ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), depression, Reye’s Syndrome, kidney or liver disease should not supplement with BCAA+G without consulting a physician.

Dosage and Directions

Take 3 scoops (2 gram scoop included) 2 times daily. Empty scoop directly into mouth and follow with water or juice. One serving should be taken immediately following exercise.

To maximize results, take this product with your favorite meal or supplement containing protein and carbohydrates. Powder should not be added to hot beverages because heat destroys glutamine. Keep in a cool, dry place.
