Cons

Caffeine may cause insomnia, trembling, anxiety, and urinary frequency. Yohimbe may cause dizziness, nausea, insomnia, anxiety and increased blood pressure. People with panic disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder should avoid yohimbe.

Certain people may experience nausea or headache when taking 5-hydroxy tryptophan. At this time, there is no firm evidence linking 5-HTP with the 1989 L-tryptophan controversy. During manufacture in Japan, a contaminated strain of bacteria was used to synthesize L-tryptophan, causing illness and death. L-tryptophan was subsequently banned in the US then partially lifted, allowing only physicians to prescribe L-tryptophan.

No clinical studies have been conducted on beta methoxy phenylethlamine at this time, so take with caution.
