Vilantae - Product Review

DescriptionVilantae is formulated to stop excess skin oil production. It features d-calcium pantothenate, a salt of pantothenic acid (vitamin B5) that allows for better absorption in the digestive tract. Vilantae works to reduce skin oil production before it is released onto the skin's surface. Vilantae was developed by Dr. Lit-Hung Leung, M.D. One of the causes of acne is believed to be due to hormonal imbalance. The catalyst coenzyme A is needed to break down oil in the skin (sebum) as well as for the production of sex hormones such as testosterone and estrogen. According to Dr. Leung, with only a limited amount of Coenzyme A the body will prioritize its use of Coenzyme A to produce sex hormones instead of breaking down sebum. However, vitamin B5 can counteract this imbalance by increasing the amount of Coenzyme A available to metabolize skin oil. In Dr. Leung's study published in the Journal of Orthomolecular Medicine, 45 Asian males and 55 Asian females were given varying doses of 10-20g of pantothenic acid (2000% of the US Daily Value), 80% orally and 20% through topical cream. Dr. Leung found an improvement of acne within one week to one month of the start of the treatment. ProsVilantae is available in capsule or powder form. Vilantae offers a 90 day money back guarantee. vilantae for acne

So, I am mid-40's female, fairly oily skin, with acne for the past 6 or so years. I have attributed the acne to perimenopause, or ovarian cysts, or stress because my eating habits are as a vegan/rawtarian: no meat, no fried foods, mostly veggies and fruit only, & my hygiene and topical regimen is extra diligent. Having tried virtually every thing including anti-biotics & having spent a billion dollars, I read the information on Vilantae and decided to try it. It is 1-27-11 today. I have been using the capsules as prescribed since roughly 1-8-11. For the past few days I have noticed minimal and now zero new breakouts. So, I'm no where near the 30 to 90 day trial period, but, already, I am cautiously ecstatic. I will keep up with the protocol and see what happens. I must now search for an acne scaring product that's just as effective. Perhaps Vilantae will prove great in that area too.
