Kris Foster
|
 |
Kristopher transferred to Boise State
University in the fall of '99, and "walked on" to
the Bronco football team. After two years in
Boise (2001), Foster was granted a full-scholarship
and assumed the starting position at weak-side
(Will) linebacker for the Boise State Broncos.
2001 was equally special in academics, as Kris
achieved his first Dean's List honor with a 3.74
GPA.
Unfortunately, an injury in 2002
would sideline Kris and he would eventually miss the
entire 2002 season. While at Boise State, Kris
studied nutrition and science, majoring in Health
Science. Foster has also earned extensive
credit from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in
areas of food science, psychology, and sociology. |
Kristopher's interest in Nutrition
was sparked from both athletics, and the search for
personal understanding. Kris has suffered from
anxiety-related insomnia since the age of 17, but
was not diagnosed until the age of 23. He has
extensively studied various nutritional and sleep
topics with regards to their effects on our
physiological and psychological well-being. Through
research and personal application, Kris has
discovered a newfound strength in natural healing,
and is no longer dependant upon medications for the
treatment of his chronic condition.
Kristopher's personal mission is to
help others. By gaining a complex understanding of
diet and disease prevention via nutritional
supplementation, he lives to share his knowledge and
personal experience with people willing to make
changes in their own lives.
Foster currently works as a
nutritional writer and Health Consultant, and is
studying to become a certified trainer through the
National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). He
continues to work on the diet and nutritional
supplementation programs of Division I athletes,
bodybuilders, and enthusiastic individuals wanting
to make positive health and lifestyle changes.
As for the future, Kristopher plans
to return to college in the beginning of 2006 to
gain a Pre-dietetic emphasis for his Health Science
degree. He is also conducting research for the
development of an herbal supplement, which would be
specifically tailored for persons suffering from
chronic sleep disorders.
