Description7 Day Acne Detox promises to clear acne within seven days. It contains a blend of 41 natural ingredients including vitamin C, vitamin B5, vitamin B6, zinc, biotin, folic acid, lemon, boswellin, dandelion, mangosteen, noni, apple cider vinegar, licorice root, MSM, witch hazel, glucosamine, milk thistle, DMAE, white willow, Irish moss, green tea (decaffeinated), alpha lipoic acid, acai, cayenne, ginger, curcumin, lactobacillus acidophilus, soy, bromelain, chamomile, panax ginseng, devil's claw, lavender, raspberry, marshmallow and elderberry. One of the causes of acne is believed to be due to the damaging effects of DHT (dihydrotestosterone), derived from the male hormone testosterone. DHT stimulates the production of sebum and keratin (skin cells), which are primary causes of acne. The trace mineral zinc is necessary for the proper metabolism of testosterone. Vitamin B6, dandelion, green tea, apple cider vinegar, panax ginseng and milk thistle help cleanse and support the liver and balance the hormone producing glands of the body. Vitamin C, vitamin B5, pantothenic acid, mangosteen, noni, acai, licorice root, raspberry, elderberry, witch hazel, white willow, curcumin, boswellin, lemon, chamomile and alpha lipoic acid are potent anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and antimicrobial agents. They work to help clear the skin of toxins, prevent skin inflammation and reduce acne breakouts. MSM, glucosamine, DMAE (a cell membrane lipid), and biotin stimulate collagen (necessary for skin health) production, repair the connective tissue of the body and promote skin, hair and nail strength. Bromelain, marshmallow, devil's claw, ginger, lavender, licorice root and lactobacillus acidophilus assist digestion and assimilation. 7 Day Acne Detox definitely did improve the overall quality of my skin. The 7 day regimen flushes toxins from your skin, as well as your insides. I actually lost 6 pounds, on top of clearing my acne for a month. Because it is releasing toxins, my acne started to get worse on days 2 through 4, but by the end of the week it had almost cleared up completely. As with any detox program, however, there are side effects as your body gets rid of the toxins. I experienced headaches, an upset stomach and bumps on my arms and legs. These side effects go away as you near the end of the program, so I would say it was definitely worth it. |
